Important Information on COVID-19

Wisconsin's Supreme Court, in a 4-3 decision, struck down Evers' Safer-at-Home Order effective immediately.

There are a few local municipalities in Wisconsin that have instituted their own Safer-at-Home orders, which would still be enforceable. Before making any decisions relating to your funeral business, please ensure that there aren't any existing orders in place that may limit your operations..

The CDC has put together guidelines for funeral directors during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is updated on a regular basis and reflects the most current status for the funeral profession. To view the latest from the CDC, please click here.

Assistance for Funeral Service Professionals During COVID-19 Pandemic

The Funeral Service & Cremation Alliance of Wisconsin values our role during these unprecedented times and understands that our workforce will be affected much like those within the health care industry. We are on the frontlines in the handling of deaths from COVID-19 in addition to the regular death rate.

The FSCA has delivered a letter to Governor Evers, as well as Wisconsin's legislative leadership to address our concerns with mitigating exposure while ensuring funeral professionals are protected. To view a copy of this letter, please click here

The FSCA also takes our role in the workplace very seriously. We want to ensure both the public, funeral directors and our employees are protected during this time. If any assistance is needed throughout this pandemic, please contact the FSCA office as there are licensees willing to help.
